The fuse is not a user serviceable part. I have had two pumps and both fuses blew within 7 months. However, the complexity of replacing the fuse means that this product is a disposable unit that will clog landfills needlessly.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. This product works well as an air pump. However, a tiny internal fuse is guaranteed to blow with regular use. Had B&D designed the unit with a user replaceable fuse, replacement would be a minor annoyance.
The dial worked as advertised, though it was difficult to see exactly where 37 PPI would be. It has attachments to use at home to inflate my children's toys. We were using both this compressor and my Intex Quickfill pump. It was good while it lasted. Then, it just stopped and it hasn't worked since. It's a compact machine I kept in my car for emergencies, and I seemed to have a lot of those.
The Quickfill was definitely faster, but the Air Station was doing its job. I got this back in October. I could plug it into my lighter and the cord was long enough for me to reach to all the tires of my Honda Odyssey. When I got out my little tire gauge, it was always pretty close to what I wanted. This little machine broke last weekend when I tried to use it to pump 100 balloons.
The only problem is that the cord is way too small. Other than that I would recommend it. Great machine for the money.very powerful. I need to use an extension cord to make it work.
If this one (also factory reconditioned) lasts me another 18 years I'll be quite satisfied. I do wish it had a longer cord though. I bought this one to replace an earlier B&D model; we bought that one 18 years ago (factory reconditioned) and it recently gave up the ghost. I love the auto shut off feature in this pump and the fact that it can run off a car battery too. A 12 - 18" cord is too short.
I returned this item when I saw that the part of the machine that attaches to the valve stem is made of plastic instead of metal. It seems inevitable that at some point this was going to fail.
